What qualifies for review
- A factual, numerical, attribution or citation error.
- A changed guideline, regulatory status or trial result.
- A broken or misdirected source link.
- Stigmatizing, ambiguous or inaccessible language.
- A correction, expression of concern, withdrawal or retraction affecting a cited source.
How corrections are assessed
The report is checked against the original source and, when needed, a second authoritative reference. Urgent errors with possible health impact are prioritized. Disagreement alone does not establish an error, but uncertainty or competing guidance may need clearer presentation.
How changes are recorded
- Date and scope of the change.
- Previous meaning and corrected meaning.
- Reason and supporting source.
- Whether the change affects medical interpretation.
- Responsible editorial review status.
Good-faith participation
Correction submissions should identify the page, disputed statement and supporting source. Do not include private medical information, names of patients or confidential documents.
