Accuracy and usefulness
- Lead with the clearest defensible answer.
- Show sources close to the claims they support.
- Date changing guidance and identify the issuing jurisdiction.
- Separate clinical evidence, public-health guidance, expert interpretation and open research questions.
Independence
- No advertising, sponsored placement or pay-to-rank source inclusion.
- No pharmaceutical targeting based on reading or searches.
- Funding and material conflicts belong in the evidence record.
- Commercial popularity never substitutes for source quality.
Respectful HIV communication
- Use person-first, non-stigmatizing language unless quoting or explaining historical usage.
- Do not infer identity, behavior, diagnosis or risk from a page visit.
- Correct myths without shaming the reader.
- Keep urgent information clear without creating panic.
Accountability
Material errors are corrected visibly. A correction records what changed, why, when and whether the medical meaning changed. Editorial convenience never justifies silently rewriting the record.
